2025 High School All-District Band
The CCA Band had 6 students selected for the 2025 High School All-District Bands:
High School Honor Band:
Katie Karstedt, 1st chair trumpet
Libby Oglesby, 2nd chair clarinet
Lukas Boyer, 3rd chair french horn
D.B. Jones, 6th chair trombone
High School Nomination Band:
Noelle Kirkland, 1st chair trumpet
Carlie Rosseland, 4th chair flute/piccolo
The All-District Bands are made up of the top band students from Duval and Nassau County. Unlike athletics, where district competitions serve as qualifiers for state championships, in band, district and state auditions are separate entities. Students must prepare specifically for each event, as acceptance into one band does not automatically guarantee membership to the other.
Each of these students will rehearse for 3 days in the All-District Bands and perform a concert on Saturday, January 25th at Atlantic Coast High School. Congratulations!
2025 Middle School All-District Band
CCA students, Claire Smith, Mason Bridgeman, and Matthew Horne each auditioned and were selected for the 2025 Middle School All-District Band. Each of them also secured 1st chair, meaning they each had the top audition out of the entire district on their respective instruments. It is difficult for schools to have even just one 1st chair student, let alone three. This is a significant accomplishment, as it reflects their dedication, hard work, and exceptional musical talent.

A Joyful Christmas Finale to the Year
We ended the year on a high note with an incredible Christmas band performance that filled the air with festive cheer and showcased the hard work and talent of our students. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Carson Brite, our dedicated Band Director, for his leadership and passion in making the performance a memorable celebration of music and the season!
